They are a Christmas/anniversary gift.

Who all will be going to the final game? What is your overall impression of going to a Redskins game?
Good luck and have fun. Personal advice for the game would be

1. If you're gonna get liquored up, do it before the game, unless you like buying 8 dollar beers. Idk if you're one of those guys that likes to act the drunken fool (in your defense it doesn't seem like it, but i don't know you personally) but if you like to drink, the average price for a beer is 8 bucks I think (don't know for certain because I don't drink at the games)

2. You might wanna eat before the game too, unless you want to spend almost 20 bucks buying a cheap burger/fries/drink. In their defense, I do like the burgers they sell at the Johnny Rockets in the stadium.

3. Don't think cheap.

4. It's probably gonna be cold as hell, so dress warmly.

5. If you got tickets in the 200 level, somewhere around either the 15th or 25th (not sure what it is) row or further back, you got what we like to call "limited view" seating, meaning there are pillars there supporting the upper deck that will block your view at occasional points in the game. You can still use them and if the game has plenty of empty seats (it might happen, simply because it's end of season, we always get our asses kicked by the giants, there's nothing left to play for, and it will be cold) you might be able to move down to get a better view as long as the ushers don't catch you and ask to see your ticket.

6. With all that negativity out of the way, going to a Skins game can be a fun time win or lose. I just went to the Tampa Bay game and even though it was cold as hell and pouring rain, me and my friends had a pretty good time just seeing the skins play. If you and your woman are having an unpleasant time due to assholes/drunk guys/whoever, there's a number you can text to to get that person removed from the game, and you can see it on the box at the top level of the stadium and they'll occasionally flash it on the scoreboards. And the HD videoboards are very nice too, be glad you weren't going in previous years because it definitely adds to the experience. Where I was sitting against Tampa Bay when the Skins were all the way on the other side of the field I practically had to rely on the video boards to know what was going on because it was hard to see from one end of the field.

Thanks for the advice Mooby! We are planning on tailgating beforehand, so I'm sure we won't be buying any of the food and drink at the stadium. When I went to see the Panthers play a couple of years back, one beer (in the bottle) was like $6, so yeah, I won't be spending money on that. Plus, I'm not the type that gets all liquored up at games. I always have a phobia of tripping over somebody's feet or falling down the steps (lol) even sober, so I like to have my senses well intact so that I can enjoy the game and not get hurt or embarrassed...lol!

We are sitting somewhere in the 400's, around the 30-40 yard line on the "home side", upper deck. My girlfriend's D.C. friends told us exactly what you said about the 200 level seats and that the 400 level seats are actually pretty good seats. All I know is that I don't want to ever get endzone seats if I go back to a football game, because like you said, Mooby, you have to rely on the jumbo tron to see what's going on. I had that experience in Charlotte.

How early do they start selling tickets for the next season?

You should try to "sneak down" to the better seats before you walk all the way up to the 400 level. The game should be empty so you could probably get into some better seats, provided the ushers are cool.

NP. Lots of other good advice in this thread too, since you're driving get there early and stay late. One good thing about it being the last home game of the season is that attendance will still probably be down so mayyyybe traffic won't be that bad, but if the game is pretty well attended you're in for a rough time getting out after the game. And heed Stacks' advice about the bags/backpacks/purses lol, I knew a guy who took a backpack to a Skins game like last season and he had to take the Metro back to some station near Vienna because they told him he couldn't bring it in. And you can def. try to sneak down to the lower bowl seats if the right opportunity presents itself, no need to watch the game from the nosebleeds if there are better seats available. Just be smart about how you do it. Other than that have fun.

I will be going to the game. It will be my first game in FedEx in 11 years. I just hope the Redskins stick it to the giants and end the season on a high note.
