Re: McNabb's agents take aim at the Shanahans, Mike responds...
All along i wanted to keep JC for a year or two on the roster and draft younger players. So we could've have the pieces in place for 2011 or 2012 franchise QB. I like McNabb and hoped he would help but we could've used those draft picks on OL or other holes. Waters under the bridge i guess but they need to use Grossman the same way then.

Also keep in mind we have not ignored the lines. Just this past offseason we used a top 5 pick and two 7th round picks on prospects. We then traded a 3rd round pick for a 1st round talent, which leaves us with first round bookends. We also brought in a former 4th round pick of Shanahan's that is currently starting in his 3rd year. In all we added 6 new players to our team and that was in one offseason, but apparently if someone doesn't want to dedicate every first round pick for the next decade to the offensive line they get labeled a Vinny.

If it was Jason Campbell playing like this everyone would be screaming for Rex to start. Just because everyone is supposed to think McNabb is great and treat him with cotton candy care doesn't mean that in reality he didn't have plenty of oppurtunity to not get benched. F off #5, play better. YOU didn't get disrespected, YOU played worse than the guy that everyone was screaming to get rid of before the season.

Ya know - - there is more than enough blame to go around in this goat rope.
Here is what bothers me... If there were adult supervision around Redskins Park, the adult would put a stop to this kind of nonsense - - quickly and permanently. This kind of nonsense is reminiscent of the spats between Al Davis and various folks - - including one Mike Shanahan by the way - - where the entire franchise looks ridiculous in the eyes of people in the NFL and around the NFL. Memo to Fletcher Smith, Donovan McNabb, Mike Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan:

I've said it for years.... The problem is the offensive line. Campbell was a good QB Just give him the time he needed. Same goes for McNabb and anyone else they put back there
