I would like to see the Skins pick up as many draft picks as possible prior to the draft and then trade down in the 1st Round to pick up another 2nd or 3rd Round pick. We might as well accept the fact that we are in a team-building phase and act accordingly. If Haynesworth won't get with the program, then make the deal with the Titans and trade him for a 4th Round pick. I'd trade McNabb for a 4th Round pick, as well. We've got a lot of holes in this team. At this point, I'd concern myself less with trying to move up in the draft to select a few players who could possibly become stars than I would with having a greater number of picks to use on players who have a chance to become solid contributors. I like your FA targets. As much as I'd like to see Vincent Jackson in B&G, we haven't fared very well with big money FA signings so maybe we should just go after reasonably priced players to upgrade positions where possible. |

I didn't think he would be rated that high. I was thinking that Gabbert/Locker would have mid-1st grades and w/ Newton and Mallett coming out it would push a QB down to or us. I think both Locker and Gabbert both are very similar and very good prospects. But, i'm against trading up for anyone. Except for Suh last year. |

Also I'm pretty sure someone already posted this but Blaine Gabbert of Missouri Tigers declaring for NFL draft - ESPN Based on what McShay said we won't be in position to draft him but if anything 2011 is slowly turning into QB nirvana with as many as 5 guys currently projected to be first rounders (though that number will more likely end up being 4).

There may be 5 qbs with first round grades, but how many of them are actually worth it? In my opinion, one and that's Luck if he comes out. Otherwise, the rest are basically fringe first rounders due to need more than skill sets. |

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
My latest theory is that we will trade up with the Broncos and Take Locker. This makes sense for both teams, because Denver has a QB in Orton and a young guy in Tebow that they have to evaluate before drafting another one. Denver would get more picks which is what they need. I think it would take swapping one's, our number two and next years number one. I know it sounds crazy, but I think with all the success that teams have had drafting young QB's lately thats the price to move up. Hopefully, we at least get some later round draft choices in return.

Gabbert won't make it past Buffalo , although I think he has Bust all over him

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
McNabb, AH, and our #1? No way. AH and McNabb carry nearly no value. Also, you rarely see players packaged in big draft day deals. Everyone seems to want picks. I'd start with 1st, 2nd, and Cooley -- if I wanted to move up, which I don't.

Wake up guys the hand writing is on the wall, read and behold!
With the 10th pick the Skins will have to go NT/DE. 2nd round pick will also be defense, OLBer. 3rd round pick from the Haynesworth trade will be QB. I realize these picks are not sexy but they are needed. There's a possibility that we use the 2nd pick on a OLineman if Wilson or Jackson is deemed worthy of taking over the OLBer spot. |

Orton will be traded. It's Tebow's team and Orton is the odd man out. But, I am sure Denver will keep its 1st pick and go QB, especially since they have reincarnated Elway to their front office. |

The Florida Panthers are more likely to accept that deal than the Carolina Panthers

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
If Luck comes out the #1 pick will not even be on the table. It will probably take three or four #1 picks for them to even return a call.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Luck is the only player I could conceive of making a move for and I am not sure what it would even take and whether it could be done. I'm pretty convinced he's a franchise guy but you'd have to give up an awful lot to get him and then you'd have no team around him for 5 years. We should have lost out to get a better pick...haha.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I would offer this year's 1st and 2nd rounder + McNabb and Haynesworth and if necessary next year's 1st. See if they listen. The only player I would make that trade for would be Luck, he is worth it.
