Re: IF We Take A QB At #10...Who Do You Want?
Tyrod Taylor? I mean he's a great college QB but he'll probably be at best, a Charlie Frye, and that's if he's lucky.

That said, 5th round or later, the kid is solid, mature, could return punts & maybe develop into an nfl qb. He is not a run-first qb, but he runs well. |

Personally I have two main approaches to the QB position, at least with the Shanahan's in charge. Either draft a QB in the first round or take a fallen first round QB (Smith, Russell, Leinart, etc) and try to see if you can get at least a solid starter that can get you into the playoffs. The second round QB is my least favorite strategy because outside of Drew Brees who was selected in what is now the first round and Brett Favre no one pans out. Ironically it's the third and fourth round guys that have a better shot as signal callers after the first, but the guys you draft in those rounds certainly aren't the type of players you bank on as the Vikings have learned with Tavaris Jackson, who though a second round pick, was drafted to a team that had everything around him (line, receivers, running game, defense).
