Guys can improve by a tenth or so in the 40 simply by working on their stance & first step out of the blocks & correcting flaws in form. i.e. to some degree, I believe the 40 test becomes a "teaching the test" excercise. Generally, long strides are not conducive to sprinting. The longer the stride, the quicker the turnover has to be. Sprinters win w/short, quick strides. |
