Sometimes awards like this are given in part on a past merit basis. I don't think Polamalu has ever won one right? Kinda reminds me of the 88 nba season I think, Magic got MVP, but everyone knew that Jordan was already the best. Magic got it after a great year, but also due to his past accomplishments.
I'm not saying TP didn't deserve it though, just saying his career to date has been exceptional & that might have something to do w/him getting it. |
