Re: 2011 NFL Draft
He's been pretty good on predictions especially with Oakland for some reason. Anyways I don't think he meant Dalton at 10 obviously but maybe in the 2nd. I'd take Quinn at 10 in a heartbeat

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Tough to really compare because, as you point out, the league just isn't the same.
So anyway...now I hear the Browns and Niners are both very high on Quinn. (Could be a smokescreen), but if so, then never mind Quinn at #10 I guess So long as they leave this draft with a QB, preferably Locker or Ponder, I'll be happy.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I wouldn't necessarily say that. I think Quinn's just as versatile. But his versatility is hidden under the fact that he's perhaps the most explosive pass rusher in this draft. Ayers doesn't have that explosiveness so his versatility is emphasized.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Do u think Quinn will be there at 10? Apparently SF is really high on him.

I think for Quinn to fall to us our best chance is Green to the Browns and Gabbert to San Fran. Quinn to San Fran makes a lot of sense though. Petterson would probably be the best fit if he fell that far.

I like Ponder a lot, but there's something really unique about Locker when he's at his best that Ponder can't compare to. Beyond those two guys, even as an Iowa fan, there's really no QB in this draft that rocks my world.

EXACTLY! Locker has that one thing that is always overlooked! He can make plays when nothing is there.. As far as Ponder you guys know I'm not high on him but I was very impressed with the Senior Bowl game. What about CAM "Goes HAM" Newton? I say no but if he's there at 10 would Shanny take him? I think he would

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I don't think he'll be there, and if he is I don't think we'll take him. From what I hear, Kyle's not too high on him

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
This Colin Kaepernick kid is interesting. 41 Total TD's (20 passing 21 rushing) last year, 4 year starter, finally got his accuracy up with 64.7% last year. At the very least he would certainly be able to run that classic Shanahan bootleg.
Of course I kind of flinched when I saw him compared with LeFevour and V. Young.

U know what's sad is I really wouldn't mind Kolb but we traded a year to early with Philly
