Re: Redskins Reconstruction: Quarterbacks

I have never seen a player more highly touted that didn't show much in his actual gameplay as Jake Locker. Even in his bowl win against the Cornhuskers he did it with his feet, while his passing game was non existent. When was the last time a QB not known for his arm won a SB? Locker seems to have a good head on his shoulders, but his passing game sucks. He isn't as athletic as Vick, and Vick couldn't get the job done even in Philly. The guy throws a ton of INTs also. To be honest, I would draft Dan Persa out of Northwestern before Locker. If Persa didn't get hurt against Purdue he had a great shot to be Big Ten MVP. That guy is almost like Vick and his passes were way more crisper than anything I have seen Locker do. Not saying we should go for Persa in 2012, but he was a better QB than Locker in 2011. Way better in fact.
