Re: Where will McNabb land?

BA says he would do the trade again!

Bruce Allen: Redskins would trade for McNabb again - DC Sports Bog - The Washington Post

Does that mean #2+#3 will be back??

Re: Where will McNabb land?

I really doubt #5 is coming back.

I think BA was just saying he would make that move again under the same circumstances.

If he had the benefit of hindsight I doubt he would make it again, but he's in the business of saying the right things and he's not going to disrespect Donovan.

I never felt #2 + #3 earned the respect of the B & G fans. A simple Cost vs. Benefit annalysis of last years record proves that. On the other hand, BA is correct, in that it takes all aspects of the game, O, D & STs!

Yeah, that asshat really proved those doubters wrong by failing to learn the playbook, to take coaching instruction, and lastly to execute the plays. Grats on proving those doubters wrong McDummy.

Is McNabb saying he will start for the Skins this year?

Donovan McNabb promises "a special season in 2011"

Steinberg has a point.

Sort of reminds me of the famous McNabb speech after the win in Philly last fall: “Everybody makes mistakes in [their] lifetime, and they made one last year!”
Of course it's not like he's going to get in front of a camera and say "yeah I suck, my career's almost over." Kind of reminds me of the days when Warner and Brees would annoy the crap out of me during the middle of the decade when they were both struggling. They were interject the word confident into every interview.

"Yeah I'm still confident in my abilities and I'm confident in how confident I am."

I swear there was some behind the scenes contest to see who could say confident the most on television.

The word was abused more then relswar.

Re: Where will McNabb land?

I have to ask. Even if the coaches decided that McNabb would be good for another year would his contract make that a stupid move. If I'm correct its cost the team 3. some million to retain his rights but if we keep him does the contract hurt us cap wise down the road too much to entertain the idea.

Re: Where will McNabb land?

Hard to tell without knowing how high the cap may be.

And they could always tear up that deal and come up with a new one.

I still don't think he's coming back though.

I had the same intitial reaction; coupled w/Allen's recent statement it almost seems they're hinting at him playing here. After thinking about it a minute though, it's probably just coincidence & typical politikin.
