That being said I think that Fred has a lot of ability that he doesn't get to show often enough. Hell even Cooley didn't get the same opportunities in the offense that he had previously. It's more about not really having much need for 2 pass catching TEs unless they want to split Davis or Cooley out wide more frequently. Why waste talent? It's better to get a pick from it rather than not get the potential out of the player.

I'd love to keep both but I'd have to see them utilized a bit more, especially Davis.

I agree. Cooley up to now is not a HOF'er.
He hasn't even had a single 1000 yard season or much less has he had a 10 TD season.

There are a lot of TEs in the Hall that didn't put up numbers like that. Those are pretty big single season numbers for a TE.

I'm not saying Cooley is a HOF player, too early to say either way.
