This thread has a misleading title and is not helpful.

A) Players do get per diem checks for preseason games
B) Under the new deal, players get paid a percentage of revenues. So it benefits the players if revenues are maximized, including in the preseason.

So it is pointless and meaningless to speculate that owners care "more" about preseason revenue. Both sides have a stake.
