But it's huge to have a punter who won't shank one or clunk a low liner to a Desean Jackson type and have him take it the distance.

Hang time and consistency is key. Giving up punt return TDs is an easy way to lose a game or two throughout the season. And a game or two can be the difference between playoffs and not.
