What if the NFL gave rights to Dish Network, Comcast, and Time Warner along with Directv? The NFL could keep the same revenue stream by splitting the price four ways. Then each of the providers could offer the package at lower prices because they paid much less each for the rights. Monopoly economics keep the price artificially high.
