We had serious issues with things like hamstrings and other conditioning type injuries in years past, and back then it was something i complained about and put total blame on the training staff. When Allen and Shanahan came in they fired the entire training staff and brought in a new team (and even painted the gym white). At one point they even interviewed Bill Romanowski. Last year we had far fewer injuries then before and so far it seems like we are still doing pretty good, minus a guy or 2. And considering the lockout I feel like the training staff has done damn good so far.

I agree that its likely he just pushed himself too far. That combined with being limited with his achelies injury for almost a year probably meant some leg musscels like his hamstrings might not be ready for full spead.
