When you read those names who are down there working out, and in turn the production they put on the feild.... you just have to trust it. I read somthing similar a couple weeks back, and since then I wasent to worried about our guys down there.

I don't think that there is nothing wrong with those players working out at the U. But Taylor needs to get his butt over here for the start of training camp. I just can't imagine a second year player holding because he is not happy with the rookie contract that he signed. I think he should at least communicate with coach Gibbs. I find that very disrespectful. Would any of you guys treat your employers like that? I don't think so. I guess that I'm just old school.

o i definatly agree w/ the talent that is down there, like it said it could rival a probowl team and we have the most players down there that are listed. I don't have ANY problem w/ Portis being there, allittle w/ Moss, but i side with Tank that Taylor should be here or at least take it like Portis does. I really don't like the situation w/ Taylor and the only thing i know is that i hope we don't give in and raise his contract. I don't mind raising it but not like this, i don't wanna have any more negitive press. We are already the laughing stock of the nfl when it comes to FOs . If he played one or two more years i wouldn't be upset if we Extended his contract.

Until the camps become manditory Taylor can do what he wants. I wanted to see Moss here because he has a new QB to get used to. However, the rest of the guys can train at UM till the manditory camps come, then start tossing out 1K+ a day for each day missed.

I don't agree with you however. The team workouts are all about the TEAM.

The U workouts are all about You, the individual.

I don't doubt that they have a great workout program at Miami. BUT, Taylor isn't even going to the Miami workouts. Last I heard he showed up one day for a half-court BB game. So while this article may convince some people that this whole Miami clan thing is ok, it does nothing to ease my concerns with Taylor. He's not with the Skins, he's not with his Miami boys, so where the hell is he? Why would the skins renegotiate a contract with a 2nd year player who hasn't even shown a willingness to stay in shape when everyone else is either at their team's facility or at their university killing themselves to get ready for the upcoming year? This kid has a LOT of growing up to do.

Ade Jimoh said it best in his interview with Larry Michael.....being up here now, with everyone, creates comraderie. That is something that's been missing with this team since Danny put the revolving door on Redskins park. What I liked about Moss, was despite not being in Ashburn, you can tell from all of the interviews that he was simply taking the advice of his agent, and that it was bothering him that he wasn't making a good first impression. He wanted to be here. ST, on the other hand, hasn't so much as picked up the phone to call Coach Gibbs. In addition, from a report I read a week ago, Taylor had only made one appearance at the workouts down at The U. So anyone who's standing up for ST saying that he's working out down there with the rest of the Miami team appears to be dead wrong. Don't get me wrong, I love him as a player, but if he holds out of any mandatory practices/workouts, I'd just as soon see the Skins take the same stance Philly's taking with TO.
