Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed
Guys I just don't think this is the year to draft a QB. Next years class will be a lot better.

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed
I know the "next years class" has been my go to joke the last couple of years when it comes to the draft but I'm getting the feeling that when January comes around enough QB's will stay in school to start producing those uneasy feelings and people that are on the fence will actually be serious about saying "lets wait for next years class." I mean lets look at the prospects
Andrew Luck - Not as a prospect for us to draft but his availability might affect who falls to us. Anyway it seems like a good chance that he could come out. He'll have his degree and could easily have a national championship by years end. Then again he might not be enamored about the prospect of sitting behind Peyton for 3 or 4 years so he might stay in school. Landry Jones - All but out of the title hunt. I said before that he would be a likely candidate to go back if they didn't win a national title and now it looks like that will be put to the test. Plus he saw his buddy Bradford go 1st overall despite being injured early in the year so having an injury affect his draft stock probably won't concern him to much. Matt Barkley - I don't know for sure but as I've said before he is likely a lifelong USC fan (born in Southern California) that likely comes from money (~$40k tuition to go to his high school for 4 years) so going to the draft isn't a priority. Plus you have Andrew Luck leaving the PAC 12 the NCAA ban being lifted (something Barkley has apparently been looking forward to) and a team thats played pretty damn well in spite of the ban (would probably be top 10 right now). Also remember he didn't split and played a big role in encouraging key players to stay and wait out the ban so the team would be ready for 2013. Robert Griffin III - Don't know to much about him but everyone says he's a very bright kid. To me that usually means schools a priority which would increase the likelihood of him staying but again I don't know a lot of specifics about his situation (SS33 that's your cue).

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed
If Shanahan wants to lose his job he'll wait till 2013. He needs to draft a QB next year, no ifs or buts.
