Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

The announcers said it best during the game. This offseason, the Redskins drafted mainly for defense. The defense is better than last year. This coming offseason, they must draft for offense. The must draft a quarterback or trade up to get one depending on where they finish. I've seen a few mock drafts where they have the Redskins drafting Matt Barkley of USC and Robert Griffin III of Baylor. Griffin III is definitely the better QB. They need a CB and possibly a veteran WR through free agency. And maybe one or two offensive lineman.

The reason why we picked D with our first two picks was not out of any sort of "plan" to pick D at all costs. The reason why was that there were a shitload of apparently good defensive prospects on the board.

Also, in total, we took 7 offensive players and 6 defensive players in the draft.

Barkley and Griffin III are long shots to come out in this draft. And apparently Landry Jones is going to stay one more year as well. The real class of QB's is likely to look like this.

1st Round
Luck - Stanford
Folles - Arizona

2nd Round
Tannenhill - A&M

3rd Round
Kirk Cousins - Michigan State
Brandon Weeden - Ok State
Kellen Moore

Compare that to last year.

1st Round
Newton
Locker
Gabert
Ponder

2nd Round
Dalton
Kapernick

3rd Round
Mallet

See what happens when you wait a year?!?!!
