Hall is mostly irrelevant to this discussion. It's just that his case totally dismisses the idea that Carlos "didn't do enough" here to get paid. He did, and did not get paid.

The bitterness is getting really old already, so I think it's fair to rip him for that. It's not like Jason Campbell rips the Redskins every chance he gets. But the reason that Carlos Rogers had to leave in order to get paid is not a symptom of his skill set or inconsistencies. It's a problem with the Redskins, bottom line.

Just treat him like we did Ryan Clark after he left. The decision to move on was defensible, but backfired.
