Yeah if we cut D. Hall, you guys are really going to see what bad CB play is when you put Stone feet Barnes out there.. The guy can't even cover a 5 yard out route. Or did we forget the Eagles game already this year?

Who cares, the season is over and it wouldn't be worse whether it was Westbrook, Barnes or anyone else playing CB . Go draft a CB on the 2nd round next year.

Makes no sense to just cut Hall. As frustrating as he is, he is our best CB. So if anything, you see if you can trade him for anything but to just outright cut him makes no sense

That's to easy of an answer.. Yes, there are A lot of 2nd round CB's playing currently but not as many as you may think started right away.. I mean.. Barnes is a 2nd/3rd rounder and he can't even beat our Westbrook right now.

Oh, and to add a little more to the fire.. D. Hall was a 1st rounder... Just saying.

D. Hall is our best CB and cutting him would be a terrible idea

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)

im still sticking with that whole "a pressure creating front 7 means we dont need elite cornerbacks" mantra.

im not a huge fan of d hall or josh wilson but i dont think we have the luxury of expending draft or substantial FA money at the cornerback position.

hall, wilson and barnes are servicable and liveable imo for 2012. i would have loved to have not given hall all that money but the ink has long since dried on that contract.

i wouldnt mind offering a kinda young undervalued FA corner a 3 yr 10 mil type contract or using a 4th to 7th rounder on one but cb isnt a big need right now and to upgrade it would be a luxury i dont think we can afford right now

1st round - QB
2nd - OL, LB, WR, DL in that order
3rd - OL, LB, WR, DL

going into 2013, upgrading the corner position will be a top priority along with adding another playmaking offense weapon.

Ok, so I was exaggerating on cutting him instead of trading him, I'm just so sick of this guy. By the way, Fred Smoot was a 2nd rounder, Brandon Flowers, etc.

maybe not this year, but theres free agent kickers available on other teams we should sign, overpay if we have to
Josh Scobee is 16-17 this year and 5 for 5 over 50,hes going to be a free agent,if the front office had any sense they would sign him

The real disturbing thing about Gano is that he has missed more field goals than any other kicker in the NFL so far this year. THAT is bad. Missing two 50-yard tries on a field that is not in good condition is not a felony.
that field wasnt that bad, seen a lot worse. He also missed one that cost us the first dallas game,I think everyones forgetting about that also

Good points. Plus, once Hall is gone our problems in the secondary won't be solved until we get good players. As much as I am rooting for Wilson, I believe he gave up both TDs yesterday. I don't think he's been as good as expected. I do hope that acquiring new CBs doesn't cut into the resources needed to upgrade our offense. In the end, I can live with an inconsistent secondary if it means we vastly improve our offense.
