Huh, I hadn't even thought of that. Wouldn't surprise me if that was true.

Good. Fresh legs to run and get water for Ryan Torain.

Its an expensive intelligence mission if thats what it was since I think the Skins are now on the hook for his 750000 remaining salary. I mean its not my money but I have a hard time thinking that was the plan all along.

He had 7 yards on 6 carries. I think 6 of those yards were on one carry.....tell me again where the "potential" is?

Man, was I wrong on Torrain. He went from beastly to wimpy overnight. I haven't seen any of the power which he ran with last year.

The biggest difference is the quality of run defenses. Torain showed all the classic signs of being overrated last year based on opponents. Shonn Greene ran into such good fortune down the stretch in 2009. DeMarco Murray is no different this year for Dallas. Happens to a lot of guys.

But you look at Torain's big games: St. Louis last this year, Indianapolis last year, Chicago last year, and Tampa Bay last year, we're talking about some of the worst run defenses. Chicago being the exception, because I thought Kyle Shanahan attack them senselessly by throwing the kitchen sink at them in terms of blocking schemes, allowing Torain to run hard and put up numbers against a good opponent. We haven't attacked a team like that on the ground before or since.

I never expected him to become this ineffective though. And the Redskins coaches are just in denial on him because they never considered that last year might have been a mirage. But Tampa really was just that bad at run defense. They were the worst in the league at it last year. Kinda like St. Louis or Carolina this year.

Not only that, but he was outright stuffed and thus ineffective in the second half of the Tampa game.

Only thing they care about is how much cap money does he cost.

Looks like the Redskins made the wrong Choice. Let's see what Royster's got.

Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move

Can't blame Choice's low yardage all on him, a few plays he was hit right after the handoff. When he got a hole - his 1st carry - he looked quick enough. Royster is a dc kid so I would much rather see him succeed than an ex-cowboy yellow jacket. I certainly don't expect much from him though, he's just not quick enough to get into the very small creases our o line opens.

Good news gents. Redskins are off the hook for Tashard Choice's season salary.

Buffalo claimed Choice off the waiver wire today.
