Who knows exactly what happened, and unless your some sort of insider, I don't think anyone knows. Some people are saying that Manning pulled a Kobe, while there are reports that Manning is disappointed with Polian's firing. I'm not saying that there is a big opportunity for a team like the Redskins to get Luck, but still something else can always happen.
