Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
With Miami and Seattle in the top 12, not sure we can go into the teens. Particularly with no Barkley or Jones. So much seems to depend on Flynn

My problem with Tannehill is his pocket presence, he essentially looks dumb. He's got the arm, body, strength, speed, accuracy to be a SOLID pro, but he forces himself into pressure way too often. I understand his supporting cast isn't very good aside from Fuller, but something's lacking with Tannehill that most top 10 QBs shouldn't be questioned about. Foles on the other hand doesn't look as "dumb", but doesn't drop back and doesn't have nearly the same type of talent that Tannehill does. Only quarterback I liked for us was Landry, and with that option gone there isn't a single QB in this draft outside of Kellen Moore that I would draft. Russell Wilson may be impressive, but an offense that runs twice for every pass and has an offensive line that averages more size than most NFL teams... Isn't exactly ideal when projecting an NFL QB who happens to be 5 foot 10. Signing Flynn seems to be only legitimate option if we want to compete next year. The worst part about not choosing a QB is that unless we reach for Jeffrey, or draft TR3.... We'd be redundantly choosing another defensive player or OT that we don't need. EDIT: Obviously I'm assuming that RG3 goes #4 to the Browns.

Who here would be fine with just drafting Kellen Moore?
I would, especially seeing how Tebow is playing and how 'he doesn't have the nfl arm or accuracy or arm strength to play in the NFL.' Moore's weakness is having too weak of an arm. His height isn't a problem since brees is the same height.

some common reasoning.... Luck will be taken by the Colts. RGIII taken by the Browns if nothing else. Blackmon will probably be taken by the Rams to give Bradford a weapon. So it was either take Tannehill at #6 which still is a possibility or hold off "IF" the Skins have already picked up a FA QB. So, I'm assuming the Skins push hard for a FA QB, one that knows the WCO system, one that has not already played and not faired well.... like Grossman and Beck, namely one that has shown promise and not been cut from a dozen teams, ie; Flynn or Hoyer. Next I would figure the team would want to get another offensive weapon to go along side Hankerson and Davis. If Blackmon is gone I simply looked at the next best WR, the next one that was tall, ie; Floyed. 2012_WR NFL Draft Prospects - CBSSports.com - NFLDraftScout.com The team could easily trade out to the teens and still probably pick up the WR to start or QB to challenge/develope. So figuring the team takes a WR then I'd figure they would go QB in the second round. If they waited that long then clearly the other teams that need a QB would probably take Tannehill. Besides who knows if he is even the player MS/KS is interested in? So again if Luck, RGIII, and Tannehill are gone, then I started looking at who might be available in the second round. Miami might take a QB, KC might take a QB, not sure about Seattle, Arizona might, Dallas should (Romo sucks), Eagles might look for Vicks backup, the rest are pretty set at QB. So I again just figured the team would be of the mind set that they picked up a qualified QB in FA (yet again, lol) and they know they won't get one of the two top QB's then they might just pick up a young QB who will fit the system to develope.... Now, Weeden impressed me. He played well, managed the game well, made Luck look like a bumbling idiot, JK. But he seemed to make all the throws and put them where the WR could get them, didn't make risky throws like Grossman, and threw to the WR while the WR was in stride. That is why I made those picks. It could go a ton of different ways... Skins pick RGIII at #6 or Skins move up to take RGIII. then the 2nd round maybe they take a RT to protect the QB especially if they have picked up a #1 WR in FA. |

I see the same issue with the WR spot. Depending on what they are able to do in FA will depend on what the first two rounds will be for us. |

There are some really good WRs who will be available in the second round, I'm hoping for Nick Toon, he's got the name also.

Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
and I'm ok with that. I'm just guessing the team will want to go QB and WR in the first two rounds. Depending on what they do in FA obviously will depend on what they do in the Draft. The problem is two really good QB's have decided to drop out which automatically moves the QB's below up a few notches. The team might not like having to draft one of those QB's so high but they might have to in order to get a more quality of play. Which I think goes back to what they do in FA, or it might not. Why not try to get Flynn and pick a 1st round QB... if RGIII is available then have them duke it out in preseason. Our QB position might become one of our strengths. or play the FA for the first few games and let the Rookie see how it is supposed to run with maybe throwing him in for a play or two here and there until he's ready to take over.

Would anyone take LSU's Jefferson? He led his team to the #1 spot and he seems to be able to run if need be.
