this article has him at 17 and funny enough it has cooley at 14, but if you think davis is among the top ten tight ends in the nfl take a look at this list. this list seems to be pretty solid imo. and at best i would say fred falls in line right around 15, right with cooley. thats not saying he can't be more elite, but don't kid yourself thinking he is one of the top 5 te's in the nfl.

and why would it be absurd for him to have way more value to us than another team like say the ravens, they could use a tight end but doubt they want/need davis anywhere near they way we do.
