Would think Sean Peyton and Loomis get some sort of suspension too. You can't deny it, then admit it but do nothing about it and not expect to get reprimanded

Agreed. But the future is what is really important. Making sure all coaches, staff, FO and all players are 100% clear on the rules and consequences related to this type behavior is more important than investigating acts that go back 3 to 50 years ago. We'll probably soon have ESPN or CNNSI quote a former team janitor say Vince Lombardi used to have a bounty system.
Fix it and stop the finger pointing.
I guess GWillims is the sacrificial example of what will happen.

I think it's really more than just a case of not....really understanding that it isn't "Hoyle" to pony up cash bounties to inflict injury and possibly career ending cheap shots on the competition? That sort of "Really, when did that start" mentality is very......tired.
If you're not bright enough to cease and desist after already being caught and warned, you deserve your ass Nailed to the Cross. You will see the rest of the league educate themselves real quick as to what the rules are and are not.
From a tender age do football coaches teach "Go out and Kill someone"! Do they mean it, in fact?
.....No

True, I think the investigation into the Redskins and other teams is more of a dog and pony show than anything else. The hammer will fall heavily on the Saints and Williams. Imagine though if Goodell suspends Sean Peyton for a year? Who takes over the Saints?

I kinda expected an investigation to happen with the Redskins and any other team where Williams coached. It is a bit silly to think that the Redskins or the Bills would be held accountable for anything, unless there is some smoking gun that the ownership/FO knew about what was going on. Even still, as you said, the Saints and Williams will bear the brunt of any punishment.

It will hurt no question, but the Saints are a veteran team and they will survive a short suspension. A long suspension of Sean Peyton will kill their season.

The Saint players can put a bounty on Goodell when he is on the sideline.
I wonder if Sean Peyton's knee injury on the sidelines last year was a bounty? Doh! Payback is a bitch.
