The Redskins need to make a leap to contention sooner rather than later. There's not enough draft picks to justify struggling through this season. There is no: at least we'll be better when... I think Griffin offers a legitimate path out of the vicious cycle of the last twenty years, but you can only put so much one guy. At some point, he'll need help. And by help, I don't mean Roy Helu and Pierre Garcon. I mean a player development machine that actually makes underachievers replaceable.
