I remember that the skins were actually predicted to do well also, but after that preseason I'm sure they had a lot of people jump off the "bandwagon."

Great article. The 1991-92 season is a perfect example of Gibbs' ideal team. All of the guys on the team were team players and hard workers.
According to a website that statistically breaks down the best teams of all time (based on schedule difficulty and wins/losses record), the '91 'Skins were the second best team ever (behind the '85 Bears). The schedule was extremely tough that year yet the 'Skins won by an average of sixteen points per regular season game and none of the postseason contests were even close. And that team had a bunch of old veterans and nobodys who did their job well.
