I'm just going to call it now. Next offseason we're going to be looking at this secondary and say "WTF was the front office thinking?"

Not that it matters to much. At this point it's all about getting better not making a Super Bowl run. Still I think we'll look back at this unit as a disaster not all to different from the Cowboys woes last season. Then again if they get a Steelers like pass rush going they'll be able to cover up the problems in the defensive backfield.

The Steelers will be wanting a Redskins-like pass rush this season.

Fletcher, Orakpo, Kerrigan, Carricker, Cofield, Jenkins, Bowen, Golston, Alexander, Riley Robinson, Wilson, heck even Hall on CB blitzes...we're going to be in the backfield all day long.

I think our pass rush will help this pathetic secondary a lot. Forget about deep balls, the QB won't have time to wait for his receivers to get downfield. We WILL give up a lot of big plays but it's not going to be as bad as we think. I think we'll see a tough D that shuts down opponents 95% of the time, with that other 5% being big, busted, long TDs given up by this secondary.

Forget the old band-but-not-break D...it's doing to be, "Hope we don't break too many times".
