Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

One of the best, if not the best offense the NFL has ever seen against the mid to bottom level secondary. I am really nervous about this game, not to mention all of the hype from Bounty Gate and to add the topping to it all, its in there house!

Now with that said, my co-worker is the biggest Saints fan of all and he thinks they will hang 35 plus on us, I told him that I don't think they will put up 30 on our D...so I am going to stick with that and say:

28-24 Saints

Come on Skins prove me wrong!!!!

41 - 34 Redskins take it. Fred Davis has 3 TDs, and Josh Wilson has 2 picks.

Kerrigan with 3 sacks and 3 tackles for loss.

Its about time we start putting up points.....plus

I'm not going to say the saints are suddenly going to be garbage because of the coaching situation, but it definitely will be a factor. Payton will not be involved in game planning and he won't be calling plays and making crucial decisions. It's not like drew Brees is Peyton manning and serves as his own defacto offensive coordinator and play caller. The saints will probably start out strong and have a decent halftime lead. But well make better adjustments at halftime and outscore them in the 2nd half. Whether we win or not depends on how much of a lead they got in the first half.

My prediction: Regulation ends with us tied at 30. We win the coin toss. Banks takes the overtime kickoff to the house. Final score: 36-30 redskins.
talk about earning his roster spot quickly.

I will be VERY disappointed if we only put up 13. I expect New Orleans to score 38, but I also expect us to be able to score 28 to 31. New Orleans does not have a good defense.

New Orleans 27
Washington 21

I can see this being a 17-7 game at halftime and us making a second half push but the Saints have too much talent on offense. I don't see them blowing us out of the water though. Our defense is going be very stingy against the run I believe and will make teams earn every point. I will also go out on a limb and say this is the most a team will score against us in 2012.

I don't think Brees will be confused by a defensive scheme that has not evolved since Kevin Greene was a Steeler.

42 to 13 Saints.
Wow, positive much

Why not start off 1-0 again ? We sack Brees 8 times , Banks throws a td to Moss and RG3 has a big game 275 yds , 2 tds and close to 100 yds on the ground and the " Saints come crawling home " ........ SKINS 29 AINTS 17 !

Drew Brees will be sacked over and over and over again. Look for the Redskins defense to recover a lot of fumbles. Offensively, I expect the running game with Morris to pound the hell out of that weak Saints rushing defense. Garcon and Briscoe will each catch TD passes.

Redskins 28
Saints 21

31-17 Saints.

Injury to one of our offensive linemen not named Trent. RG3 has one td pass, 1 td rush, and a fumble. completes 60% of his passes, and doesnt connect down the field on anything greater than 30 yards.

28-10 Skins in the above scenario

If Brees plays the whole game 35-17 Saints
You know how we play against backups, and if Chase comes in, well I will just accept the 0-1, and a rant by a certain mod as to how we should have kept Chase

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

I'm very disappointed everyone seems to be forgetting the Giants won the Super Bowl last year. How did they do it? Not with their crappy secondary. With the B.A. front seven that put so much pressure up front the QB didn't have time to get the ball down field or let the receivers routes develop. Great line play helps the secondary out tremendously.

Same thing here guys. Nicks is gone. The Saint's line is not as good as it was last year. And our D line will be better with another year in the system and Jarvis Jenkins coming back. Brees will have a hard time establishing a down the field threat if he has pressure on him constantly. Look for it to be close late. As my name suggests... SkinzWin!!

Redskins 24-21

Henderson and Moore burn Doughty easily on multiple passes. Losing Merriweather hurts, we neeeeed a safety!!

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

I agree with the people here who say our front 7 can be nasty. I agree. But I'll say this. Against the Saints, with them playing the 49ers last year, the 49ers back 4 of Rogers (yes he's good), Tarrell Bown, Whitner, and Dashon Goldson (very very good and underrated FS) Brees still was able to put up 34 points on the best defense in the NFL. So thats why I say we may have a good front 7, but that secondary of ours is hurtful to look at (particularly safety). Thats why I still say the Saints win. And with the whole bounty thing they are going to be throwing out a lot of their anger on us the first game for sure. Oh and they are always fired up first game of the season in that dome. 31-17 Saints
