I've heard a few insiders (including Smoot) comment that Haslett was on the hot seat even as of last year. Few of them even mention that when Dan, Bruce, Mike, and Kyle go to dinner to Raheem Morris when they first were interested, they didn't even bother to bring Haslett along. You don't even bring your DC along on a secondary coach hire? Now mind you, he had a DC job lined up at the Vikings and turned it down.
