Here is a quote from a Post article from when FedEx first opened...

Afterward, many current Redskins were equally effusive about playing here for the first time, particularly about the noise level, which they insisted was equal to if not better than the decibel level at RFK.

"I felt like I was at LSU again," said defensive tackle Marc Boutte.
Go back to the Giants and Dallas games in '05. I guarantee those games were louder than any RFK game.

i would say that fedex has the potential to be louder than rfk, but it's up to the fans.

look at the crowd from a rock concert in the '80s, and then look at the crowd from a rock concert today. people have dialed it down from 11, all the way down to lame.

they just don't get loud and go nuts like they used to, that's my take on it.

There have also been significant changes to stadium rules. You can no longer stand up when your team is on defense which to me affects my cheering ability! They've taken a lot of the stadium activities out of the game. Security concerns have taken some of that out of the home crowd.

they enforce that at fedex? some people seemed to stand for most of the game the last time i went, maybe i'm recalling it wrong. i was in 109 or 110, it was the patriots game last season. i noticed some people (in redskins gear) didn't even clap, stomp their feet, or open their mouths - wtf?

Sorry, but I'm going to have to call BS on that. I've never had that experience at Fedex. Provided, I don't go to a lot of games per year, but I was never asked to sit while the defense was on the field.

Once, I was told to sit down or I would be removed by security. People behind me complained.

Yes, that's why I was threatened with ejection.

I attended that Giants game in 2005 which was loud, but nowhere near as loud as the Giants game in '87, which I also attended, when the Skins came back from a 13 point halftime deficit to win. It was so loud when the Giants offense was on the field that I could not hear my brother shouting in my ear right next to me, and my ears were still ringing two days later. My hearing wasn't temporarily impaired after the great win in '05. All that said, yesterday's noise after RG3's signature TD run was as loud as I've ever heard FedEx on TV.
