It's gonna be hilarious when Cooley is on the inactive list every week

At least until Paulsen drops a pass, and then people will be bitching everywhere about Cooley being inactive. Then arguments will pop up everywhere because those same fans will be wondering why we don't have an All-Pro at backup tight end.

I can't wait.

I'm sad to see Davis go down just when he is finally acting like a professional. From an organizational standpoint, this buys the FO another year to postpone opening the bank for Davis. I don't see other teams offering him a huge multi-year deal coming off a torn Achilles.

He did, no doubt. He's solid and probably a bit underrated as a receiver. But he's clearly not in the same class as Davis after the catch.

I think Cooley starts as soon as he's in football shape. Niles Paul has a long ways to go and even though I like Paulson, I think Cooley has better hands and knows how to run routes better. When it's third and 7 I'd rather have Cooley on the field myself.

I am so not concerned by this injury. Im so not concerned with our offense. I mean even with Davis out our offense was fine and that was against one of the better defenses in football - in their house. Id so much rather be reading a thread that we found a safety and put doo doo williams down like a horse with a bad leg. There has to be someone in the free world that is better than him and needs a job.

Well if that person is better they wouldn't be out of a job.

I was sort of being sarcastic like - combing the free world for one. Remember the movie "The Worlds Greatest Athlete". ? Lol.

NO it's not. Because then we'll have to hear from the fans how their best TE is sitting on the inactive list and how Shanny doesn't know how to use his talent.

Maybe if he played safety. I cant imagine even the biggest anti-shanny is complaining too much about our offense anymore. I mean the way this o- line (even with polumbus) is opening holes for the run game and protecting RG-3 ( in the pocket - when he runs its pretty hard to stay in front of him and block). Its nothing short of genius really considering where our oline was a year ago. His plucking of Morris in the late rounds is genius too.

Have you not been reading some of these threads? Goat wants Kyle gone due to his play calling....lol A couple others share his view.

Yeah, except at least now I don't have to change my username.

It will be interesting to see how much time it takes to get him on the active roster.

I thought the same thing although I guess it seems unlikely to be the case as it's hard to not have 3 TEs active. If one goes down then who steps in? Also they're generally the backup at FB.

My thoughts on Kyle are this. Like SS says he overthinks things. I can look at Kyles career and say this - in Houston he had Foster Schaub and Johnson. In Washington our offense stunk until we got RG-3. So im not sure who is making who look good? Not to mention the fact that if Kyles father wasnt who he was he probably would not be employed by the NFL period. Since Kyle left Houston has the playcalling and offense missed a beat? No. Im dont want Kyle gone for one reason rite now. Stability. Not because i think he is an offensive mastermind. If he continues to call plays like an option run by a tight end in critical moments of big games im going to hop on the Goats bandwagon real fast though.

Cooley is always gonna be a Redskin great. You never have to change your name. Nor should you.
