Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
What I have read is that the lcl is a longer recovery time. The other part is we are talking about an acl to go along with it. That being said it is on the same knee as before which could further complicate his recovery time.
It just sucks. Plain and simple

Getting on Shanny for not getting him out of the game is fine and all but I almost believe that he may have torn it earlier in the game. But all of the drugs masked that pain till finally his body gave up.

By earlier I mean at some point during the final TD of the 2nd quarter.

With that said I don't want to leave this out, I believe Cousins also has potential to be a great QB. HTTR!!! |

I'm with you on this. My personal belief is that he tore it on that rollout play near the goal line in the first quarter. That's just a wild speculation.

i think he tore it in the baltimore game, the lcl atleast. if he had a sprain he wouldve been showing improvement each week and he was not at all, none.

That's when he did it, he took his helmet off while laying on the ground in pain. He quickly got up to mask the injury/ pain, you could tell he was hurting bad.

I thought the same thing. He stopped driving off the leg with authority - his short throws were sailing, and he underthrew Garcon on the one deep shot. Most notably, he had ZERO lateral mobility, as exhibited by the sack he took on his next to last play. A healthy RG3 would have scrambled for 10+ yards up the right sideline on that play.

I agree, there is no way that hit was just a mild sprain. I mean it could have been but that was a vicious hit and his leg looked like a twig.

I am also taking his past into consideration as well, when you consider he played an entire half on a torn ACL in college. The man will try and play through anything, and for someone in which I didn't see many flaws in his character this may be one. He is tough but also arrogant to a degree I believing that he is the best option to have out there even if he is playing on one leg.

Man im reading some things on here i cannot believe? Draft another qb? RG-3 is done? Holy wow.
He suffered a FREAK injury against the Baltimore Ravens. He came back after the Cleveland game and led us to two victories. He didnt look 100 percent by any means and we all said , he is getting healthier and the brace will come off. We were wrong, doc Andrews was wrong, Shanny was wrong? I dont know, but its pretty obvious at this point that he should not have been playing. I forget who said it , but at this point its not important who was wrong. Its not important that he makes it back fast. Its important that he makes it back 110 percent. My gut (which has no medical training whatsoever) says that he will be back for week five next year. My gut also says we will be 4-0 and lookout world. Rexy will be around next yr it appears and probably dressed and backing up KC-1. We are not going to draft a qb - no way. Lets sure up our D, and our oline. Lets get our injured players back. Lets have a solid draft and make the most of free agency. All the while Griff is getting stronger by the day. He will be back early next year to defend his nfc east championship. HTTR (hail to the recovery) |

No need to even talk about drafting a QB. Cousins is good and rex is a solid back up.. IF that's even the case come September. Who knows
