Seems to me he got shut down a lot the last half of the season.
We were expecting a monster year from Kerrigan and it didn't quite happen, but he did have an outstanding year.

54 tackes, 4 TFL, 8.5 sacks, 2 FF, 1 recovery, 1 INT, 8 pass deflections, another defensive TD.

Maybe Orakpo's absense allowed the opposition to concentrate more on him with double teams. When Rak is on the field, they both deserve a double, but that's impossible. They help each other just by being on the field together.

I did see Kerrigan being held by the neck all year, of course uncalled. Orakpo gets the same treatment.

I would not call that an outstanding year, especially for a first round pick and a player that many thought is and will be better than Orakpo, he did not live up to expectations. Redskins blitz a lot which would single him up and teams did not really double him from what I saw like I thought they would. There were times this season where he was just completely non existent, Did he play in the playoff game vs Seattle? cause I did not see him do anything. Still, Orakpo/Carriker coming back should help him, but I think the discussion of Orakpo vs Kerrigan and who was better was quietly answered this past season.
