A 20-25 yd attempt would make it interesting...I bet Vegas would think so.

seriously. We should be lobbying to end all special teams play.

I do the same thing, except that I get one whenever either team scores, or not.

Re: Roger Goodell says NFL considering eliminating extra point

Imagine the pompous soccer fans if they cut down on kicking in football.

They already look down on us and insist in calling it "handegg" instead of football.

So jealous and annoying. They'd be even worse.

If the league is contemplating getting rid of the extra point because it's a mostly boring, time-wasting, nuisance that adds nothing to the game, shouldn't they also consider getting rid of Cris Collinsworth?

I agree with this . . . instead of tacking on the 15 for the kickoff, the kickoff should have as normal . . .then the 15 yard penalty should get tacked on after the fact . . . so if the kickoff is returned to the 30, they get the ball at the 15 . . .

actually 1.4% . . . and that 1.4% has the ability to change the outcome of 2 - 3 games per year . . . so is it because the Skins kickers have sucked as we had a better chance at being the team that blows that game??

It's up to 99.1% since 2004.

I think its been shown earlier in the thread that missed extra points haven't impacted anywhere near 2-3games per season.

I think its more like 1 game every 2-3 seasons. And I am not even sure about that.

They should just move it back to 40 yards. That makes things a little more interesting.

So why have a kicker ,for the thinking that I see in the posts here we don't need kickoffs either yes or no .
I just need to finally ask: why do you put all these weird spaces near punctuation in your sentences? I've always wondered.

I've wondered the same thing. I think he must be typing on a smartphone. I also wonder why anybody gets so worked up over extra point attempts! LOL! It's kind of hilarious and sad at the same time. But then again, he is a Giants fan so I guess that answers that question, lol!

I can get worked up about it, and I'm a Redskins fan. And it's not exactly the fact that Goodell is considering eliminating PATs that gets me worked up; it's the fact that he's trying to change the game of football that I enjoy so much, to something that's not the football I know. The PAT is as much a part of the NFL as the Redskins, Lambeau Field, or the Immaculate Reception. Why would you eliminate that?

This! Stop changing the damn game!

Tackling is dangerous, let's eliminate that too! Actually, running is kind of dangerous too, you can pull a hammy, tear an ACL, we better have the players power walk. Jumping is dangerous, you could land wrong, CB's/Wr's can no longer jump to try to knock down/catch the ball!

Football is a sport, players are going to get hurt!

You know even if it was a 100% wouldn't change most minds.
