Re: Super Bowl Gameday Thread

Just got home. I"m still in shock over that call on the 1 yard line. Bevell should just pack his bags after that horrendous fuck up. I'll never understand it. They blew the game worse than Green Bay did in my opinion. I imagine the press conference for beastmode going something like this:

Reporter: So Marshawn, what did you think about that last play call by Bevell?

Marshawn: I'm just here so I won't have to choke that bitch.

Just stop dude. You obviously hate Brady. Youre not the only one. Not sure what else the guy can do though. Nobody said Brady did this all by himself. Neither did Montana or Bradshaw they were surrounded by HOF'ers. If you want to make the argument that its a team sport thats fine. You want to say the D played great or Edelman or Gronk played great than go ahead. But as far as the QB position goes Brady is as good as it gets.

This. The guys has 4 rings, Super Bowl MvP 3 times, and has never had the surrounding cast that many other championship teams have had. He has had good solid teams and a coach that gets guys to overachieve, but to not give Brady any credit seems insane. Anyone want to trade our QB situation for the last 15 years for New England's?

I don't hate Brady. I think he's one of the top 5 QBs of all time. Does that sound like fucking hate to you? What I"m sick and tired of is all these "Tom's never had the talent around him...blah..blah..blah" bullshit. I'm sick and tired of you nut riders giving the guy more credit than what he (or any QB deserves) Even New England fans understand and grasp this, but you guys can't?

Not even mentioning the fact he's with the 2nd best coach of all time. It's not Belichick just "coaching" these guys to play better than what they are. It's talented individuals that do the job week after week. You think Vince Wilfork is just playing above his level? You think Chandler Jones is some scrub that is motivated by BB? McCourty? Revis? Mayo? Hightower? I can go on down the list and most of these guys would replace ANYBODY on our squad. There is talent beyond Tom, you just refuse to recognize it and give them their proper credit. Who exactly is BB getting to "overachieve" on that team?

Who the hell is saying that Tom Brady is the only reason the Patriots won this game? Who? Nobody. You just keep talking about how lucky he has been his whole career. You are talking about how Russell fucking Wilson and his 12 completions - who by the way - is surrounded by much more talent than Brady - outplayed him?!?!? On top of that - we are the idiots?
You funny.

Re: Super Bowl Gameday Thread

Calia said that he has never had the talent around him that other championship teams have had. That is a far cry from "toms never had talent around him". Niners, cowboys, steelers - those championship teams make toms talent look stupid. Than you go and say that Tom has talent that could replace anyone on the Redskins roster????!!!??? That is supposed to be impressive? Pass whatever you got on over here. It must be really good shit.

Re: Super Bowl Gameday Thread

Dude, seriously, how much coin did you lose tonight in the last minute of the game? I can only assume it was not insubstantial.

No one said Tom won the game himself or that he hasn't benefited like all QBs do from some luck (although no more than others, in my view) and help from the supporting cast. But did you really think Wilson outplayed him tonight? I didn't see it that way - he put up 28 points on that D without a huge input from the running game. That is impressive. Wilson shows heart but had a nonexistent first quarter and barely a pulse in the second. As he did two weeks ago, he came back in the second half and played well and with heart. But the better QB got the win tonight, no question.

Name the stud RBs Brady has had in the last 15 years. Outside of Randy Moss for a few years and Welker, same question for receivers? Remember, we are talking for a 15 year period - few guys stand out as elite offensive players during that span. Not a lot of HOFers on defense either, although Revis this year is obviously an exception. Now think on the weapons that Terry Bradshaw had - Stallworth, Swann, and Franco Harris, not to mention a defense that even Pete Carroll would envy. Montana similarly had a lot of talent around him, including the best receiver to ever play the game. All three teams had incredible coaches. Brady won 4 with different players and in different ways, and was pretty close to winning 6. He had all 6 Patriot teams in it to the wire. Not enough for you?

Also, feel free to disagree, but don't call me or others on the site idiots or other such nonsense. It reflects poorly on you and really doesn't have a place here. If you are sick of reading opinions with which you don't agree, no one is forcing you to contribute.

I think Pete Carroll to a page out of Mike McCarthy's playbook there!

Everyone talking about the last play, but the Seattle defense collapsed in the 4th quarter and Brady threw 4 tds against them.

That's because the last play was the game. This was a Super Bowl, man. The only thing that matters to a team in the Super Bowl is winning it, no matter how well or poorly they played.

The game was on the line and the Seattle coaches got cute and blew the game. That's the story. It was a Beast Mode moment if there ever was one.

for sure, but if Seattle defense does its job it would never come down to that.

Another huge play was the Kearse drop on a perfectly thrown ball, over his shoulder which would have set up Seattle down on the Pats 25 yard line. That killed the momentum. Kearse effing sux, they got to get rid of him this offseason.

Perfect pass by Wilson. Dropped it right in there.
