And why is that? The guy was being pursued by Texas, USC, Penn State, etc. great up and coming coach.

Watching the video clip of Cowher on NFL.com, I would love to see him in DC. Watching him interact with his players and really connect with them - in different ways - is pretty awesome. I love when he accuses Cordell Stewart of lobbing bacci balls. Hysterical.

Skins could very well have a new HC by the end of the week thanks to that Cincy loss.

I'd guess Gruden is the main focus. Zimmer and Jackson also on the radar.

They were in the playoffs. We weren't.

Getting to the playoffs is booty if you can't deliver. The Bengals are still mediocre.

Rather have Whisenhunt than Gruden, but oh well.

Whizz is still in play theoretically. We couldn't interview him last week but we can this week.

That's what I was thinking while rooting for the Chargers.

I was totally wrong thinking the quality HC prospects would take a hard look at DC. Maybe there is more to the controversy around Snyder and/or RG than previously thought.

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
Zimmer's guys play their asses off, which indicates he's a leader and not just a great defensive mind. Bengals have the 5th overall defense and really set the tone for the whole team. Hard to say what Zimmer will bring to the table on offense and an OC, which is my biggest concern and why he's probably a 2nd tier type HC prospect.
Gruden has no business getting an HC gig though. His play-calling is uninspiring, he shows nothing on the sidelines, and a drunk driver is the last thing the undisciplined guys need in a leader. Better than Mike and Kyle? Probably. But my hope with Jay would be some kind of agreement that his brother will come in after him, probably after two subpar seasons. Given how little interest we've garnered from A list prospects I'm wondering if out next HC will just be a placeholder type.
