The reality... For all DS's faults, perceived and real, the one stone cold fact is that he is simply bad at hiring good football people.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?

So far, I view Scott as a college scout genius, although last year's draft still needs to pick up the pace. (I know ...more time is needed before passing full judgement).

But, I don't view Scott as a top GM by any means yet. He hasn't proven his skills in Free Agency, which unfortunately is still a big need for us.

For the record, I think this franchise got much more professional since Bruce Allen came on board and our Cap situation has definitely improved. For me, that is a better place than where we were a few years ago.

It will be interesting to see what happens a few days from now when free agency starts. If there's a spending spree then we'll know we're back to doing things the old way.

Signing Tony Romo would be the most "old skool" way of doing business. We should just burn it down if we make the dumbest move of the offseason.

They're not that stupid but I'm getting nervous now that SM is basically getting his nuts cut off. I mean I was listening to the Junkies this am and apparently Snyder was at the Senior Bowl with Bruce. Why would Snyder be at a Senior Bowl? He's such a wanna be ...

Not the first time he's gone and not the only owner to go. Several fly down for a day or so more for networking

Unless he told the scouts to go home so he can do their jobs I don't give a shit where DS goes.

Old spending spree would be signing Brandon Marshall/Alshon Jeffrey to record contracts. You can be aggressive AND reasonable at the same time.

Shame on any of us for rushing to judgement....the man is allowed to have a personal life (and that means personal)

Yellow Journalism is at the heart of the inaccurate reporting around Scot McCloughan

Agreed, all traces back to Cooley's comments and it just blew up from there, not cool on many levels. And for the thought that the team should say something to dispel the rumors, the team or McCloughan don't owe anybody shit on this. If it's a personal matter it deserves to stay that way.

They, including Scot, basically repratedly lied and said Scot would be at the combine

Problem is nobody seems to be telling the truth. If this is just about a funeral, what is there to hide? Why so secretive about something that is common knowledge? Is this a sort of coup in the making? Was
Cooley following orders or was he on to something?
