Re: skins eagles postgame

After next weeks game. RG3 would of thrown the ball more than he did all last year.

Nice little tid bit of information.

Re: skins eagles postgame

Our first year everyone played us with eight-man fronts, sometimes almost nine-man fronts,” Shanahan said. “When you do that you have guys wide open like we did last year. That’s one reason the play-action was so good. This year [teams are saying], ‘We’re playing you more passing and you have to earn the right in that run game.’ Which we’ve been able to do. You’re not always going to get that deep ball so you have to dump it off and be patient. That’s part of the NFL. No matter what quarterback you’re going against, no matter what system you go against, you have to relate or adjust your game plan accordingly. That’s one of the reasons we ran the ball so much against a team that was very good at stopping the run.”

He's not the first because Cam Newton did the exact same thing last year, after he blew a chance to win a game by throwing a ball in the dirt with Olsen wide open in the end zone. Needless to say, Cam got raked across the coals and rightfully so.

Tell me, do you hear any flap from Luck? Tannehill? Wilson? Any of them? This young excuse is just that. An excuse. Time for Robert to put on the big boy pants and suck it up. He wants the fame, the glory, the commercials, but also wants to deflect the blame. Fuck that. Take the heat. Yes, I do agree with him about the play calling and yes I'm ready for Kyle and several other coaches to move on. However, you aren't going to endear yourself to the fans, public, or any future coaches by saying the stuff he's said over the coarse of the past year. You'd thought he'd learn from the whole kneegate issue, and the crap over the training camp. It's not hard to just shut the fuck up. Really, it's not.
What's he supposed to do, go through a laundry list of his mistakes and apologize for each one?

At this point anything he says is going to get picked apart.

He wasn't right in his comments but I don't think it's the end of the world either.

I'm not sure how you can construe it any other way. It's not taking the evil out of it, and he certainly wasn't saying it to praise the Eagles. How do I know? BECAUSE WHAT HE SAID WAS THE FRIGGING TRUTH.

Our coaches were out-coached, and they were out-schemed. They didn't change shit from the first game and we still got our asses handed to us after 10 days of prep time.

It still doesn't change the fact that he needs to really shut the hell up. Trust me, he doesn't need to argue his plight about coaching to the media. Anybody can look at this product and see something is wrong with it beyond just players. That'll work itself out in time, he just needs to perform.

The bomb was to Garcon wasn't it? I remember him being held with two hands and no call. Which slowed the route. Maybe it was Robinson, but I remember the play on the left sideline. I remember the DB holding just for a second our WR. Which ennded in a incomplete pass.

Most definitely. It isn't the end of the world and we move onto next week. I don't agree with the notion that anything he says will get picked apart. We've had 7 losses and this is the only loss where his words have been used to flame the fire.

"Hey guys, that last play was totally on me. The team put me in good position to secure this game and I blew it. There were other throws that could have been made during the course of the game to where it didn't come down to the last play but you learn from it. You'd like a mulligan on some of them, but that simply isn't possible. Next time we'll make those throws and come out on top. I'm proud of the way the guys fought back to make this a winnable game and I'm glad to share the locker room with these guys."

See, not really that hard.

Moss: The Ball Was in RGIII’s Hand Last « CBS DC

Seems I'm not the only one that feels this way. Now you have Moss calling out Robert's leadership skills. I'd say that's some strong words there, and it isn't minced.

Quote:
“If we’re going to win games, we need to win games with our guy saying ‘at the end of the day, I didn’t make a play,’ regardless of if it wasn’t him. And that’s how I feel. Because that’s what we’re out there to do. I’m not sitting here to tell you why it didn’t happen, or who didn’t make the play for me to make a play.

“If I’m the guy, that’s at the end of the day have the ball in my hand, and we’re sitting there and the game is over because of me, I didn’t do enough to make the play. I didn’t do enough to help us win. And that’s what I would do.
He also wrecked the Skins as well for not instructing some players on what they should be saying or not be saying to the media. He also admitted the Eagles knew the plays they were running. This is a train wreck.

I'm no RG3 sympathizer, but Moss needs to check himself as well. Dude stays dropping passes.

And he needs to start returning punts and kickoffs.
