I don't know if we can call him a choke artist. I mean, the botched FG hold last year was awful, but hats off to Giants DC Spagnolo for his halftime adjustments. The Cowpukes could only muster 3 second half points, and the Giants got tons of pressure of QB Romeo after he went untouched in the 1st half.

I hate Dallas but honestly for some odd reason I like Romo something about him. Romo is star but not a winner it's a big difference example Randall Cummingham was a star not a winner so was Vick. He might not ever be a winner just like those guys.

Yep, "Smiley Boy" Romo wasn't hasn't been all smiles for over a month now. Czaban called it best about a month back - Romo is a fine QB when the offense is humming - all smiles and fun. But when the offense is in crisis, we'll see whether Romo can provide true leadership. Smiley Boy showed his true colors yesterday.

I think at some level, he's a choker. Clearly he's one of those sports figures that loves celebrity status, commericals, the media, etc but hasn't really done a thing to earn any of those accolades yet. Except fail miserably in the postseason twice now.

He was clearly losing it down the stretch there. Making boneheaded decisions. (the sack, throwing it away for the penalty, and the INT into multiple coverage) Getting visibly frustrated with getting hit (as if he thinks football is all just magazine cover shots, etc)....and frustrated with the officials.

Clearly, it wasn't his worst game ever, but he blew up again when the pressure cooker got hot. Was his head in the game? Who knows...but the media will have fun roasting him this week. Especially when this was the first #1 seed to lose this round.

Well, in all seriousness let's put some context to this because it really is a legitimate discussion.

Here's a guy that put up great, great numbers during the regular season, and you can see how the Cowboys started to fold down the stretch and it spilled over into the playoffs. To me, a great quarterback can out play his stats. If that makes sense. Like today, for instance, Eli didn't light it up but he didn't lose the game either. Romo showed an incredible lack of poise today and down the stretch this year. And yes, even dating back to the Seattle game last year too.

If we can't label him a bona-fide choker, then he's certainly establishing a trend that's for sure.

You can label him whatever you feel, but it doesn't mean anything more than the fact that you (and pretty much everyone else here, myself included) just don't like the guy very much.

Secondly, the whole notion of outplaying ones stats is a logical fallacy. If it's done, then there are (gasp!) stats to show the improvement.

Eli didn't pass a whole lot, but I thought he pretty much did light it up. He outplayed Romo, this once, and his team deserved to win.

The whole point is, this is just one game, and you can't establish a trend in one, or two, or three games. Heck, some guys have down SEASONS, so it's impossible to prove a guy is less adept at playing in the playoffs, and relatively stupid to call two games any sort of evidence whatsoever.

I think the whole choker argument is ridiculous. We don't need petty labels to enjoy the Cowboys losing another playoff game. All I need is the smile currently on my face.

Makes me appreciate more what the Pats have done this year. No team has received as much press (good or bad) as them. Shows character and maturity counts. That's why I'm banking that we'll be in the thick of things for years to come regardless of whatever anyone else does in the division.

Exactly right...he came in red hot off the bench last year and lit it up....then stalled out late in the season, and lost the playoff game.....and the exact same thing happened this year!

Not taking anything away from them, they have a good team and had a great season.....but they got lucky in a lot of games this year I thought...and they didn't have that luck today.

Thought it was his final five or six games last season. Thought this tail off was nearer the end around the Eagle game. Guess it doesn't really matter. Hope it's a continuing trend.
