Re: I Thought Only Former Redskins Complained About the Current Players

In regards to your post tryfuhl, I'd take the old geesers in their primes before I'd take any of the current guys. I'll agree the current players are healthier since they seem to know they need to stay in shape year around so they don't have to work twice as hard in the camp. But back then there were little rules protecting the players as there are now, helmets were not as good, face masks had one bar or two and a lot of them got broken noses while playing. I think they were simply tougher back then playing through all types of injuries. They also didn't have Gatorade to replenish their body fluids during a game or at half time, water and IV's were used. |

Re: I Thought Only Former Redskins Complained About the Current Players
Thank you for the welcome.
I am a lifetime Steeler fan. My sports room is painted yellow with black trim. I also do like the Redskins and was even a season ticket holder until just a few years ago. The other weekend I was witness to 4 of the 72 guys hanging out with Bruce Allen. At the end of the time, I became the photographer with them. Since this was the second time I have done this recently, I got a little tired of telling them to say "Redskins" before I shot the picture. So, as I was snapping the picture, I told them to say "Go Steelers". One of them (don't remember which one) commented on it. I responded that I really wanted to say "Go Cowboys" but the words could not come from my lips. Again, if you pm me, I will email you the link to a picture I posted online of the 5 of them sitting around the table (you will also see my empty chair). Actually, it was 6 of them, because Sweat Pea came down just to see everyone again. |
