we definitely need a new Center, i think everyone on this site agrees. he gets too many penalties and allows a lot of pressure.

I was a Rod Gardner fan, but it may be his time to go. The way Thrash has played all season, the heart he shows, and the game he had today shows that he can be a #2 or 3 reciever. Jacobs can also play #2 or 3.

I hope Wynn comes back next year, he has been very solid and a good locker room presence. I heard that he was contemplating retirement somewhere, so i hope that it is not true, or he decides to come back.

Bringing in a new DE would be nice, but not necessary. I like the idea of the trade down to get Pollack, who doesnt have all the physical skills, but is a blue collar player that Gibbs would appreciate.

At the center position, i dont think drafting a guy is the way to go. we need someone with experience, a free agent that is saavy. I believe domanic raiola of the lions is a Free Agent, so looking at him might be a good idea.

Try and re-sign smoot, it would be nice to have him back, but i think we can survive without him if we have to. I think we would still be top 10 without him, Walt Harris can play, and so can Springs, but both are around 30 years old.

Cut Kozlowski, he seems to have a lot of heart, but i cant forget that dropped pass he had in the Cowboys game, that was picked off because of him

Cut Morton, Antonio brown seems a lot better and will come much cheaper

do not cut barrow, for it will have to financial benefit, and i think he only has 1 more year

Keep the o-line in tact except for Raymer. Dockery has potential, samuels is experienced and has potential, and with jansen and thomas, we may have the best right side in the league. Hopefully Samuels restructures to help us a little

brunell must restructure his contract, he has hinted that it is a possibility in the washington post

Late in the draft, take a safety and a defensive tackle, and maybe a tight end, although i really like royal, he has good hands and has a nose for the endzone

DO NOT bring in another QB, unless brunell retires or something drastic happens. P Ram need not have anymore competition

And finally, we MUST resign Pierce. He wants to be here, and he is a great, great player.

We do not need a roster overhaul, we are pretty close i think

disagree, we need a DE, ITS A MUST!!!

we pass it up every year, and there is several out there waiting to get drafted.

first i would like to trade down and get a good 4th for 5th rounder extra, maybe squeez a 3rd in.
second option is to use what we have, and the names should be on the table:

E. James
D. Pollack
M. Kiwankia
M. Spears
D. Cody

Worring signs comming out in the press about Smoot, Samuels and Gardner.

I liked Gardner but we would make a saving against the cap and be able to give a PS like Scott Colman (sp) a shot of making the roster . Behind Gardner we have McCants, who may be gone, Taylor and Trash both of who should be ahead of Gardner right now. That said i seriously do not want to go after Williams if avaialable. We have drafted a WR with our top pick in Gardner, Taylor and effectivly Coles. If we have a chance trade down.

Why is DE a must? didnt we end up #2 with the ones we have? and with daniels out most of the season.

We did, but the lack of passrush at times of 3rd and longs killed us at times this season. They were exellent against the run, dont get me wrong there, and I'm happy with the play, but they just dont generate a passrush if they dont have help from blitzing.

I agree with Morton, Kozlowski, and Raymer, but not Bowen. I think Bowen was doing a pretty decent job before he got hurt.

i agree, but that doesnt make it a MUST. i think it would be very nice to draft a DE in the first round, but we certainly arent doomed if we dont. that is how i interpret a must.

I really like this kid Antonio Brown, I hope we lock him up yesterday, Morton's value to us is very little, this kid Brown is a much better kick returner, we already have a 50 million dollar 3rd down back in Portis so I don't see Morton fitting in.

its a must hands down, we need to get a decent pass rush with out having to blitz as much. so its a must we FINALLY get it done. im tired of the over paid DL we get to get hurt or suck for years. ex: big flabby and suckiefield

oh yeah, its a must because WE HAVENT HAD A DECENT PASS RUSH FROM OUR FRONT FOUR IN OVER A DECADE, AND WE DIDNT REALLY HAVE ONE PERIOD TIL THIS SEASON. but if we had a DE that gave a constant pass rush this season, we would have been unstoppable. add a speed rusher DE with clemons, arrington, washington, and along side griffin..... wooooooooo damn we would kill, and definitely keep opponets on their heels.

Matt Roth- DE - IOWA HAWKEYES

There is our DE. Ok, so I am biased since I am a huge Hawkeye fan. I seriously think with this draft we should consider trading down, draft for some depth at OL DL and CB. If we get lucky Bugel will find us some diamond in the rough center. I agree that we should resign Smoot, but at a reasonable price. I agree with Drift Reality's roster. We only need two, maybe three new starters.

We need a good DE and a TE for the offense and we'll be just fine.

Matt Bowen is a decent safety in run support and he can blitz, but I hate seeing him in pass coverage. I, personally, felt that last season with Ohelete and Bowen starting we had the worst starting safeties in football. I think Ryan Clark should, at the very least, take over as the starter. I just don't like Bowen, I thought I would, but he's been unimpressive as a starter. He was beaten very badly in the Giants game this year and Keyshawn beat him for one of his few touchdowns last season.

What you have to remember about Bowen in that season is that he wasn't playing the position that was most suited for him. This year before his injury he was and playing it pretty well. I agree I don't think he's the best at coverage, but I felt he was impressive with the Blitz and especially his tackling.
