Not trying to judge dude at all, but I've talked to alot of these Michael Vick haters at my new job, and the consensus among them, is being that Animals now hold surperior rights to a human being (you know the animal bill of rights and constitution and all that), If Vick would have killed a person, be it in murder or drunk driving, he would have gotten off lighter in the eyes of the fans.

.
If M.Vick had done to a human what he did to a dog he would be on death row. Also wether you like it or not some pet owners honestly feel their pet is their family and in some cases they are.If you're all Vicked out cool then don't respond but he is a sadistic dog killer and you just don't wake up one monrning a say "oh gee wiz ...maybe I should'nt do that".He apologized becuae he got caught.Remember these were dogs of his that had lost so he drowed them ....animals that could not fight back, oh yeah give him 100 mil and say good job.

He didn't kill a human. He killed some animals. There sane person that could compare the two. As far as I'm concern what he did farmers do every single day. What he did is no different than people shooting defenseless animals, stuffing them, and hanging them out on their walls for decoration. Where is your outrage about that? I suggest you, pet owners, and non pet owners get the f**k over it. The man has paid his debt to society. He has turn his life around. Let him live in peace.

I have been impressed and pleased with the way he has handled himself. But cynic in me still says let's see what he does once he gets his big contract.

I think I agree with saden, I doubt he'll disappoint. But now we get to see the real Mike Vick, the guy who doesn't have to toe the company line to earn a payday.

So this is Eli's deal, basically.

He's overpaid of course, but not at a level we've never seen before.

Eagles don't usually hand out bad deals, first time for everything I guess.

Per JLC, Deal is not backloaded with fillers - legit chance to earn $16.7M/year

I wonder when we sign Beck to a deal like this?

Seriously, I don't like it, I don't like Vick, I don't like the Eagles and the Cowboys suck too!

I don't think he'll disappoint in particular, but he might get hurt if the o-line doesn't protect him. Sure he'll run, but eventually that catches up to him.

Sent from my Samsung Epic 4G.

Vick is still a young man that is playing like a young man and is just starting to hit his stride as a pro, if he continues at the pace he did last year. Vick is easily worth the money if he can keep performing like he did last year. I doubt he disappoints.

I see the negative firestorm around the net. Haters are gonna come out of the woodwork now. Factor away Vick's time in Prison, and you have the same situation as Peyton Manning; a 100 million dollar contract.

Not trying to open the Michael Vick Prison debate again, but i seriously think thats the only reason why people are bitching about his contract now....If he would have never went to prison, would people think he is worth the money? I think so.
Who mentioned McNabb? Factoring away prison time(a bit of the stretch) it still is not the same as Manning. Manning/Brady et al have made their teams perennial contenders, and their loss would devastate their teams. Vick is a role player, who got a very lucky break to go to a very stable situation and one that possibly let's him excel.

My point in my quote was that the normally frugal iggles have really splurged this year and I hope it leads them into the type of cap quandry that we have been in the last few years.

I guess the Playoff win against Farve's Pakers back when Vick was on a bad Falcons teams was Vick ROLE PLAYING? No. Vick carried that team on his shoulders.
Vick is a dynamic player that if he can stay healthy will do very well. That is a big if. His playing style of running and holding onto the ball as long as he does can get him killed if he is not careful. But he is not a role player. He is not a conventional pocket passer and that is why he is misunderstood by the so called experts.
