Joe Montana. He was so cool that on the field for the last drive to beat the Bengals in the Super Bowl, he took the time to point out to a teammate where John Candy was sitting in the stands!

Montana. The guy had ice water flowing through his veins. I have never seen a 5ft something QB so cool with guys diving at him. Protecting the QB was not the referee's job so much back then either.
Elway was great, but had that thin air at Mile high stadium that would suck the life out off the opposing d all game long. He had a little home field advantage that would show up at the end of the game.

Joe Montana lived for the 2 min drill!! Brady has been the best since Montana. But He needs to keep it up for a few more years.
John Elway was great. But He didn't win sh-t untill Terrell Davis showed up.And Farve is amazing but throws way to many pic's to be a great 2 min drill QB. I would rate them #1 Motana #2 Brady #3 Elway #4 Farve But really there all H.O.F'ers I would take all of them over any of are old QB's!!!

If I could take one QB in his prime to build a team around, it's gotta be Montana hands down. Best QB to have played the game IMO.

If I want a field general to lead the troops with 2:00, I want Montana. If I need a hero to take it on himself to win with 2:00, I go with Farve. I loved watching Elway too, and he's a field general, but my vote goes to Joe Montana

I'm going with coordinators. He's a good coach, but those coordinators are great, and I'm absolutely shocked they lasted as long as they did!

These guy's have been in coaching a long time, I think it's ironic that only now under Belechik have they blossomed, and that is part of the reasn they have lasted as long as they have to many executives in the NFL believe they are a product of Belechik and not the other way around. The Brown's will find out the hard way, as for Notre Dame? College is all about recruiting so if the guy can recruit he will do well dropping into the college rank's from the NFL doesn't exactly scream success as a coach, it's usually reserved for the coaches who can't get it done on the pro level. |

I wouldn't underestimate the impact that Belichick's coordinators have had. I think both Weiss and Crennel are going to be quality head coaches and they both will be difficult to replace.
I think Belichick is a lot like Gibbs in how he surrounds himself with great coordinators and let's them run their respective units how they see fit. That's not to take anything away from Belichick, but I really think losing those guys next year is going to be a huge adjustment for the Patriots. |
