Re: ESPN Draft Special On Now
Think Art Monk, only bigger. He'll be gone way before 20.

Re: ESPN Draft Special On Now
Like Mel Kiper said yesterday, Williams is faster than freakin Jerry Rice coming out of college. Sure Rice was quicker and could make better cuts but top flight speed does not a HOF wr make. After the past few years of guys who a lot of the times seemed to have trouble being able to catch anything directly to them, I'd gladly take a wr with a little less of a burst but extremely reliable hands and who is always making the big play in the red zone. Plus we already have 3 speed wrs, we need a reliable short to medium range receiver who still probably hasn't even come close to his full potential. While I'd be happy if we traded down for more picks or selected Carlos Rodgers if Williams is gone, if he is there we NEED to pick him. Plus with him on the team, Ramsey could have 3 possible safety valves on a pass play with him, Cooley, and Portis as options if a designed play isn't open down field.
Bottom line is that in the end some players slip because of doubts and others are taken too early because of false hopes, there r rarely any players selected who are 100% what was expected. I am personally just hoping and praying the FO doesn't kill our current draft as well as next years 1st rounder for a guy who's a faster version of drop it like it's hot Gardner. Plus how in the hell could we even work out a contract to afford a #2 selection player? |

Re: ESPN Draft Special On Now
edwards is rod gardner in my opinion. same build, same problem. but gardner is cheap and alreayd signed...no sense just replacing him for a more expensive option

Re: ESPN Draft Special On Now
Williams is Keyshawn 2.0
I know that will piss a lot of people off, but its pretty much the truth. He will catch 75 balls a year and never have more that 10 TD's per year. |

plus early in his career if u take away his attitude, Keyshawn was a pretty good wr. Like I've said before, I just want the team to finally have a big young, talented wr who can be counted on to make the tough catches as well as the easy ones. |
