Agreed. A three and seven are not worth it. They have two twos and two threes. So I would demand at least their lowest two and then a four. Or both threes. They would probably say no, but eff them. They are the enemy and we are not just handing out candy.

Here is the story I was told - and if true this is why all of the ideas of holding out for something else won't work.

SUPPOSEDLY, right after the Skins got the 25th pick from the Broncos, the Eagles offered them a deal to swap the 25th for the 31st and the deal was that the Eagles would give the Redskins the Eagles third and SIXTH round picks but that in the future the offer would only go down not up.

The Skins said no.

Then SUPPOSEDLY in the last 36 hours the Redskins were calling aournd to everyone talking about trading up and trading down and came to the Eagles. The Skins brought up the previous offer and wanted to talk about it and the Eagles said the offer now was their thrid and their SEVENTH because the price was going down not up.

So, holding out doesn't look like it's gonna yield much and the offer on the table is a third and a seventh for switching positions in the first round. Remember, waiting until tomorrow to "see who's on the board" might drive the offer even lower. OR the Eagles - who have 13 picks in this draft - might make a deal with whomever has the the 24th piick and then the Skins need to worry if the Eagles have targeted the same guy they have targeted.

I'd take the deal. I'd have taken the deal when first offered, but that's probably water over the dam now. The reason I'd take the deal is that I believe there is value in the 3rd round and with even a little luck the Skins can find a special teams contributor in the 7th round.

And I do not subscribe to the idea that this team is only inches away from a conference championship...

SC, Once the draft begin's teams see who's available and where, if a player they want becomes available in a obtainable part of a particular round, then they will be willing to give up more not less, you know how it is once the candy store opens and there about to run out of your favorite candy, we did it last year, the Bills did as well, but teams are less likly to trade up if they don't know if the player they want will be available, I say we just sit back now and don't look so anxious teams know where looking to accomadate a trade they will call.

And if the Eagles call they will pay dearly!
