He's the outside linebacker's coach? Does every position have a coach now. Are we going to hire Orlando Pace as a our left tackle coach?

I like the hire...I remember him as a madman on special teams. he was the "wall buster", iirc.

I read the same thing. Barry coached the OLBers last year. I think it's a great move.

I'm not a Joe Barry fan at all. If we had hired Wade we would have lost in the NFC Championship, instead of getting exposed by GB's terrible offense.

I agree - i think our Defense would have been a lot better with Wade, but it would have been a short term fix. Wade wears out his welcome after a season or two.

Damn straight. I can't recall if Wade had interest or not, but regardless we should have been pounding on his door.

i imagine we had the opportunity. he sat around quite a while in the offseason before being given a job. a lot of us were 100% for it, cause his track record is, well, amazingly good.

Best I can remember, there were a ton of stories circulating before Barry's hire about Wade being in town and being seen here and there. Not sure if he was hanging around Redskins park waiting for an offer, but the twitter feeds made it seemed like he was letting everyone know he didn't have any plans for the fall.
