Re: Coles' toe an issue already?
For all those people who give St. Joe a hard time for "his personel" moves, lets not forget this one. . . .if it turns out LaColes is a dud for the Jets, Gibbs is looking like a fortune teller!

Re: Coles' toe an issue already?
...how many playoff games did LC lead us to...?
Hate to say it but the only bad thing about the trade was the cap hit we took. The rest is all good for the Redskins. I think Santana is a better WR and if I remember correctly, he was someone the Redskins thought about drafting a few years back. |

Re: Coles' toe an issue already?
I agree with you Matty, I think Coles played with that chip on his shoulder having to do with where he was drafted initially. He's done a masterful job in recouping the money he feels he lost as a result of not being drafted higher. However, I agree that I'm glad it the Jets problem now and not ours.

Re: Coles' toe an issue already?
Coles was an utter warrior, did everything we asked of him and always gave 110%, can't take anything away from him. even hurt, he was productive for us. it's not like Brunell would've been able to throw that far if he was healthy.
now, i'll never forgive him for turning his back on us, but with all the uncertainty on offense i understand the reasons why he did. who knows exactly what he'd be like after the surgery, all that matters now is that we have fast in abundance, and hopefully we'll get the separation that was missing last year. |

Re: Coles' toe an issue already?
I was one of the biggest Coles' fans before this last offseason, but I have absolutely no sympathy for the guy anymore or any team he plays for. It's kind of funny how every "expert" said this was a terrible move for the skins, despite the lingering injury problems Coles refused to have repaired and the explosiveness of Moss. If anything, Coles and his agent should get props for leaching over $20 million in bonuses alone from 2 combined clubs especially the extra $8 mil from the jets even though they knew the possible risk of his toe.
