I agree, although I'm not sure why they couldn't just cover the whole helmet with a decal. I really enjoyed the faux leather helmets they wore with the uni last year.

In England, "jags" is an offensive term to insult someone, also used as "jag-off". It's similar to their word "wanker" in meaning and it usually used in place of the American word "idiot".

Nice move, NFL.

many of my coworkers are english, none of them had any idea what "jag" was; it's probably only youth slang.

That is actually one of the tweaks I was considering. Instead of the Indian head on the sleeves (which I think would be a bit overkill since the logo is on the helmet) Have a spear and feather on the sleeve with the jersey number above or below the spear.

Summo just started a thread on match-ups...that should help answer your questions too. Like it or not, uniforms are a big part of the game.




Me, I like the classic looks like Bears, Packers, Colts, Raiders, Chiefs and of course the Skins.

Things get messy when you let these companies go wild with designs...like the Seahawks, Titans, Jags, Bengals...

The only modern uniform I really like is the Texans.
