Re: The everything Gruden thread

Gruden just looks lost out there and this offense looks nothing like the Bengals did. Hell was he even calling plays there? Doesn't seem like it

Bruce Allen does not need to be fired, IMO. His responsibility needs to be changed. He is the Manager and a good one at that. He needs to hire the executive cook (GM). He already has him on staff in AJ Smith. AJ needs to pick the players and then Bruce needs to negotiate the contracts and be the buffer for Snyder.

Gruden needs to be traded to the Raiders or another team, he is just not a fit for this atmosphere. It would workout better for all parties involved if they let another team take on that pay check.

I like it. Except nobody is taking Gruden for HC. Maybe OC, and they're not gonna "pay"

Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth.

Allen has already usurped his position to become the personnel fuhrer. It's hard to put that genie back into the bottle and make him just do contracts, either from the team's or Allen's point of view. Bruce needs to call a realtor.

Allen still has final approval, but the real cooks are AJ & Co. That is the closest thing to what will happen that we will get. Allen will not be fired after one year as president.

No offense but my understanding is that what you said is untrue. Why is AJ just a consultant? Because Allen is calling the personnel shots much more actively than "final approval."

Mike Shanahan left a personnel power vacuum and Allen filled it.

I was speaking about my future scenario, not the current situation. AJ is an team executive, more than a consultant. No one outside of Redskins Park knows really what he does for the team.

I think this is how they will adjust the front office.

I can't believe we paid Tracy effing Porter. The FA/draft for 2014 is complete head scratcher except DJax a saving grace.

Come jump aboard the fire Bruce Allen wagon... There is plenty of room left, but seats are filling up fast after each Sunday...

Sources close to the situation say he was over heard saying he wanted to prove all the haters wrong after receiving the news.

Well then I sincerely hope he gets his poop in a group. He's still a likable guy but in a no nonsense neighborhood bartender way, who thinks he knows something about football.
