Re: Give Props to Brunell

He managed the game and made a few plays. No INTs and the fumble was not his fault. There is a formula to win with Brunell and we saw it today against a top 5 defense.

We should sit Brunell every Tuesday and Wednesday for the rest of the year (until we have 7 losses). Have Campbell take snaps with the first team on those days. Brunell is better when rested...

Re: Give Props to Brunell

What is all this talk about interceptions/bad throws? I don't remember a MB interception today. Didn't we just defeat our Arch Rivals?

I did hear Troy Aikman/Joe Buck say that any Redskins pass, where a Cowboys defender was within 10 yards of the pass, was almost an interception. However, consider the source.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

Not a Brunell fan, but he was good today. I give the guy credit. He won't go away and he obviously has a lot of heart. I was just happy he started looking for Lloyd and he went over the middle more times today than all other seven games combined this year. I don't get this guy, but I'm not complaining after that win. We fought hard today. Oh and I was giving Archuletta some decent slack, but today he was pure garbage.

Yes, I'm happy we won. No, I don't think that Brunell WON it for us. There's a subtle difference that I can see, if you're honest I'm sure you can too.
You know I was only joking with you on the Sellers/Cooley comment, don't you?

Long term no Brunell is not the answer. We know that. We all know that. But in the here and now he did just fine. But whatever, you have your fun bashing him. I'm done debating it

The snap from center wasn't Brunell's fault.

I don't believe what I'm reading here.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

Welp, this is what Brunell did last year when we played well offensivley. He made some good throws, he still did some stupid stuff, some people dropped some balls.

I know people are saying Portis didnt rush the ball well (which was his fault/lines), but did you see how the play action worked when we give Portis the ball? We need to get him better invovled because as we saw when we put him in good postion, hes the best.

I thought Brunell played well, I dont think he was a pro bolwer or the reason we won the game, but he made some big throws, and I can live with that.

Could he have caught it? Yes. But the snap was early and high. So I'll put more of the blame on Rabach on that one...

I blame Rabach for the botched snap. I blame Brunell for not diving on the ball after the fumble. But, I'm not going to let 1 or 2 snaps define our offense's or Brunell's performance.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

I'm not saying it's one or two snaps.

Rewatch the game and tell me what you think.

Yay, we won! Very happy about that. Not happy about Brunell at all.

Define "field general". U.S. Grant or George Custer?

Re: Give Props to Brunell

brunell played like he suppose to play with line help... i only saw two, maybe three suspect passes- i saw plenty of zip down the middle, getting thrash and lloyd involved when not getting it to cooley. considering the lack of moss, he did a commendable job against a solid D.
